What happens when things don't go to plan?
What happens when things don't go to plan?
What happens if you plan a webinar, or a presentation, or a talk, or a course, and only one person shows up?
Last week we sat down in front of the Zoom to give a pre-planned webinar, and one person showed up.
Which was not pre-planned.
So we made some Euro2020 and men watching football jokes, but at the end of all England jokes, we had to take a decision - do we present a webinar to one person or cancel / postpone the whole thing?
And do you know what, it wasn't even a question, and it was a really tough question at the same time.
I can say we did it because we already committed, because people who won't perform for one won't fill a stadium, because if someone made an effort to be there they earned it, or a million other things...
But the truth is, Hidai likes to talk about anything and with everyone (it's his superpower) and there's nothing he likes more than a captive audience, I can't pass up an opportunity to talk about LinkedIn (not my superpower, just my favourite subject).
So we gave a webinar for one.
And it was one of the best webinars we've done.
